:: WORK PLACEMENT

On Monday I'm due to start my one week work placement at Colourbox in York City Centre.
Im petrified!

I popped in for 5 minutes last week, just to see where I'll be spending my week, the environment and getting used to the route I'll take, meeting the guys I'm going to be working with and a brief outline of what it is they'll be letting me do.

It looks interesting, but I'm still very unsure of what I'm to expect. I'll be working with two guys, who look like they'll be super busy and wont have much time to spend helping me out....scary! But have said they'll set me my own briefs on a regular/daily basis, and if a live brief comes in that they think will be suitable for me, then they'll give me a chance to crack that too.
In some way or other I want to prepare myself for the week. I need to know what I want to get out of it, questions I can ask and stuff...

Humm......? ! ? ? ? !

I need to gather some primary research for my dissertation, based on sustainable graphic design. This will be a good opportunity for me to find out from a existing practicing designer and establish how environmental issues have affected (if at all) their practice.

I just hope my brain still works after a few weeks away from briefs and having to be creative...it's feeling a bit mushy!!

Anyway....fingers crossed!
