:: MUSEUM IDENTITIES

As part of my research I figured the most influential work to look at as some inspiration would be to check out the existing identities of museums.
So I've looked at some with a similar theme to it and aiming for a similar target audience for some help!
Some are very useful and inspirational and some not so helpful...

^
This one is my favourite of them all. It's simple. But that's what make's it so nice!
Straight forward typeface, no colour, all lowercase. I also like it how all the L's work together.
Simple is gooooood!

^
Another lovely identity for the famous Design Museum. This is also one of my favourites. This is again a simple typeface, no colour, but this time it's all uppercase!
It's an identity that you remember....nothing too fussy and complicated about it which is why I think it works so well.

^
The shop logo for the Design Museum is quite a bit different from the actual logo for the museum. It's now not so simple, but still simple!!
It's a nice typeface used for the word Shop, quite decorative, but just the right amount of decorative. It's not too in-your-face!

^
To say this is the identity for the Type Museum, it's not at all what I expected. But, one the other hand, it is. I thought it would be a really interesting identity, with lots of experimentation with type.
But then, I've noticed that those people who work with type like things simple, nothing over the top. Everything in it's place, it's rightful place, without much effort. Which I guess is why this is why it is.
I'm not saying I don't like it, because I do....lots and lots and lots! It's just not what I expected!

^
Not too sure what I think to this one....

I think this one is my all time favourite. It's the cleverest.
I love it.
A clever use of the wonders of type!
