::Prague - Day 1

Sunday 6th May 2007

Today is the day the girlies head to Prague! Wooo! Fly from Leeds Bradford with Daisy and Lisa. Claire and Nicky aren't flying out until tomorrow though...So it's just the 3 of us starting the adventure.
We will returning back to sunny Leeds on Thursday, so we've got a lot to get done before then in order for us to get stuff done for this thing...like pics and stuff!

This is one of the first "Prague" building that we came accross when leaving the airport....it looks like a mushroom...(??!?!?)
I noticed...whilst on the bus from the airport to the tube...that the Prague architects have a strange obsession with glass and lots of windows...even when it really isnt nessecary at ALL!! But this mainly occured out of the city...so i haven't got many examples of this.

We spent a lot of time down in the tube thing...but it was fun down there.....lots of endless wind tunnels and lots of escalators, which you spend, on average, 4 minutes on! MAD!

This is a where we ended up after catching a bus from the airport and jumping onto two different tubes! We didn't have a clue where we were....so we decided to head accross the super long bridge shown here, which at first was quite fun, but then it just got scary. Eventually frustrating because we soon realised that we needed to be on the street BELOW the bridge, but here was no short way of getting down there.

So....to end this day....
After about a 2 hour walk, down scary back street paths and eery, creepy parks, we eventually found our hotel....which was surprisingly really nice. Quite out of the way from all the goings-on of the city of Prague, but we decided to go on a random walk in no particular direction...and came accross loads of nice stuff.....

For some reason, I didnt get many pictures this evening, but i found a FRED, spray painted onto a wall....(Fred is my tutor man)

The end of Sunday 6th May 2007......awww
