Today is the day we venture into the city of Prague...woooo!!!
For us to get into the centre, we had to jump on a tram....not for long though, so was allllll good!
Thanks to Daisy's dad, we kind of had some aims for the day, and some tips of the sights we should check out. So we headed to "Old Town Square", just in time to see the Astronomical Clock do it's stuff....which is only every hour.
But we ended up getting a bit lost and came accross lots of other lovely buildings....which Prague didn't seem to be short of to be fair.
There wasn't just one main street that we could aim for....Prague is just made up of hundreds and hundreds of alley ways....which are always far too overcrowded.
Below is a photo of the Astronomical Clock is perched on the tower of the Old Town Hall. It was created in 1490 by a certain Master Hanus, is made up of representations of astronomical movement and allegorical figures. They are joined on the hour by a parade of apostles for a brief mechanical show.
Huge crowds gather to watch the "performance", which you think you will be amazing because of the crowds....but its nothing amazing. But I think if you are around the Old Town Square for the turn of the hour, then it might be worth going along, just to say you've been there and seen 'it' happen.
